United Slashes Miles for Non-Cardholders, Boosts Perks
United Airlines overhauls its MileagePlus program starting April 2, slashing mileage earnings for non-cardholders while rewarding those with co-branded credit cards. General members without a United card earn just 3 miles per dollar on most tickets, down from 5, and zero miles on basic economy fares unless they hold elite status or a card.
