Japan's domestic tourism sector demonstrated robust growth throughout 2025, with travel consumption climbing to 26.8 trillion yen despite a fourth-quarter slowdown. The overnight trip market led the charge, increasing 6.8% year-on-year to 21.7 trillion yen, while day trips reached 5 trillion yen with a 4.9% gain.
