The UK has eliminated its Transit Without Visa scheme and implemented mandatory pre-departure status verification for all carriers, effective February 25, 2026. Airlines, ferries, and Eurostar trains must now confirm passengers' digital immigration status matches their presented passport before boarding. Travelers who renewed or changed passports since obtaining their visa or eVisa face immediate rejection at check-in if they haven't updated their document number in their UKVI account.
