The UK Home Office launches a full digital revolution in immigration from February 25, 2026, replacing all physical visa stickers, biometric residence permits, and wet-ink stamps with eVisas linked to UKVI online accounts. Travelers applying for visitor visas or certain other permissions on or after that date receive only digital approval, verifiable in real-time by airlines via upgraded Carrier Check API systems.
