UK MP Urges Grace Period for Dual Nationals' Expired Passports
UK lobby groups and Liberal Democrat MP Will Forster call on the government to delay the February 25 deadline requiring dual nationals to present a valid British passport or Certificate of Entitlement when entering the UK. Airlines hold discretion to accept expired British passports alongside valid foreign ones, but many dual citizens, especially Australians, New Zealanders, and South Africans, face denial of boarding without proper proof of right of abode.
