UK Launches Digital eVisa, ETA for Aussies
The United Kingdom rolls out its fully digital eVisa system and mandatory Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) from February 25, 2026, replacing physical visa stickers with secure online records linked to biometrics. Australians, among 85 visa-exempt nationalities, now require a £16 ETA valid for two years or until passport expiry, verified instantly by airlines to prevent boarding without it.
