UK Enforces ETA Rules for Visitors Today
February 25, 2026·27 days ago·via Share Talk

New UK travel rules take effect today, requiring non-visa nationals from 85 countries, including the US, Canada, and Australia, to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before boarding flights. Airlines enforce a "no permission, no travel" policy, denying boarding without a valid ETA, eVisa, or other documentation. The digital ETA costs £16, allows multiple entries, and remains valid for two years or until the passport expires.
