China grants ordinary passport holders from the United Kingdom and Canada unprecedented visa-free entry for stays up to 30 days, effective from February 17, 2026, through December 31, 2026. This pilot policy covers tourism, business meetings, family visits, cultural exchanges, and transit, with multiple entries allowed as long as each stay does not exceed 30 days. Travelers need passports valid for at least six months and may have to show onward or return tickets.
