UAE Extends Grace Period for Residents With Expired Visas
The UAE has granted expatriate residents currently abroad until March 31, 2026 to return to the country without obtaining new entry permits, even if their residency visas have expired. The temporary measure, announced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, applies to residents whose visas expired on or after February 28, 2026 while they were outside the country due to airspace closures and flight suspensions.
