Spring Break Chaos - Thousands of Flights Grounded by Massive Storm
A powerful weather system is wreaking havoc on U.S. air travel during peak spring break season, with more than 3,500 flights canceled and over 6,500 delayed as of early afternoon Monday. Blizzard conditions blanket the Midwest and Great Lakes while severe thunderstorms threaten the East Coast, forcing the FAA to impose ground stops and delays at major hubs including Chicago O'Hare, New York's LaGuardia and JFK, and Reagan Washington National.
