Meningitis Outbreak Kills Two in Kent University Area
An outbreak of invasive meningococcal disease has claimed two lives in the Canterbury area of Kent, with 13 cases confirmed between March 13-15. A university student and a Year 13 pupil have died, while eleven others remain hospitalized, most between ages 18-21. Health officials have linked some cases to Club Chemistry nightclub, where affected individuals visited between March 5-7.
