Indonesia Braces for Historic Eid Exodus of 144 Million Travelers
Indonesia is preparing for one of the world's largest seasonal migrations as nearly 144 million people are projected to travel during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday period. The Ministry of Transportation has mobilized an impressive fleet including 31,345 buses, 2,683 trains, 829 ships, 392 aircraft, and 255 ferries to handle the massive movement across the archipelago.
