Germany, Others Cut US Tourism in 2026 Over Costs, Bans

Germany joins France, India, Canada, Sudan, Laos and many others in declining tourism to the US in 2026, driven by rising costs, travel bans, visa restrictions and economic uncertainties. International arrivals fell 4.2 percent in 2025 despite global travel growth, costing the economy around 50 billion dollars from 11 million fewer visitors.
