Europe is bracing for extended airport and border delays this summer as the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES) rolls out across Schengen airports. The biometric registration system, which requires non-EU visitors to provide fingerprints and photos at border control, has already caused waits of up to two hours during winter travel and could stretch to four hours or more during peak summer months.
