Dutch Tourist Dies After Collapsing on Ifugao Tour

A 65-year-old Dutch tourist, Hendrikus Gerardus Theodorus Maria Van Rossum from Raalte, Netherlands, collapses and dies during a guided tour of Bangaan heritage village in Banaue, Ifugao, on February 18. While descending the iconic rice terraces after photographing traditional Ifugao homes, he feels dizzy, sits roadside, and becomes unresponsive around 1:45 p.m. Two nurses in his group attempt CPR and rush him by ambulance to Good News Clinic and Hospital, but he is pronounced dead on arrival.
