Starting February 25, 2026, dual British citizens face new UK entry rules tied to the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system rollout. They must present a valid British passport, Irish passport, or foreign passport with a Certificate of Entitlement to prove right of abode, as airlines deny boarding otherwise. Dual nationals worldwide, including children and those living abroad, cannot apply for an ETA using a non-British passport.
