Africa's hotel development pipeline reaches a record 123,846 rooms across 675 hotels and resorts, driven by an 18.6% year-over-year surge, with Egypt and Morocco claiming over 45% of the total. Egypt leads with 39 new deals last year and 33 openings projected for 2026, while East Africa emerges as the construction powerhouse, where Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania have nearly 80% of their pipelines under construction.
